Emory Hill Construction Awarded Project for Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland

New Castle, DE [March 10, 2025] – Emory Hill is pleased to announce that the construction division has been awarded the bid to complete a significant expansion project for the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland.

The project includes the construction of a new visitor center and a dedicated storage area for artwork, located directly across the street from the Musem. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the charm and historic character of Easton, the new facility will enhance the Museum’s ability to serve the community while preserving and protecting its valued collection. 

Construction commenced in February 2025, marking an exciting chapter in the Academy Art Museum’s continued growth and commitment to the arts. Originally founded as the Academy of the Arts in 1958, the Museum has long been a cultural anchor on the Eastern Shore, providing exhibitions, educational programs, and artistic enrichment to the region. Over the years, the Museum has expanded significantly, including the addition of a Performing Arts Auditorium, new galleries, a library, and administrative offices. Its most recent transformation included a contemporary entrance and enhanced visitor experience.
